Originally from California, and they were living in New Jersey … wished to visit the city for two days whilst being in town. It was decided to just take the New Jersey Transit system rather than even attempt to drive. Sometimes people need to see a schedule in order to know their options and when but, once you have a schedule set up, it’s manageable. The six of us managed it well and we used the New Jersey Transit to down town New York City three different times with no problems or issues. The facilities are quite organized with regards to the transit system but what you need to get in the vehicle are tickets, pass, or exact amount of fare.

Convenient option: Trains and buses are provided by the National Joint Transportation which connects New York City’s Manhattan region with different parts of New Jersey.
Train routes: Trains leaving Penn Station in Manhattan are headed to New Jersey different stations including Newark, Princeton & Trenton. It is one of the most frequently and undoubtedly used modes of transport to get from one state to another.

Scenic option: But for a much more comfortable ride, there are ferries connecting New York City to New Jersey itself such as Jersey City, Weehawken and Hoboken among others, depending on the departure point which could be Wall Street or Midtown and so on).

Car or Taxi
